While food isn’t known for it’s durability when exposed to the elements,
beads have a great track record.
Beads4Thought reimagines the style of communication used in “the public forum”
to match more closely with internet forum etiquette.
This was accomplished via the letter blocks of friendship bracelets.
Words, phrases, and questions adorning these bracelets were chosen
by disabled queer individuals looking for a place to express themselves
without giving up identifying information or making digital footprints.
Responses vary from vulgar to inspirational, however with bright colors and charm(s),
they’ve been spread far and wide in heavily frequented spaces with ironic connections to the messages inscribed
as an analog means of messaging strangers to share what they were thinking.
